I Is Another / "Je est un autre,"

Filmed over the course of two days ‘I Is Another’ is a performance to camera. It was inspired by a visit to Oscar Wilde's resting place at Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery, Paris. There hundreds of people have left their mark in lipstick by planting their kisses on his elegant art-nouveau tomb. This gave me the idea to cover every possible part of myself with lipstick kisses in, what is both, an aesthetic and deeply personal act.
I am using the body to explore and question, on a very visceral level, our concept of reality. I am playing with the body’s capabilities and limitations.
